Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience) + Super + NFP Salary Packaging

About the Role

This is a senior individual contributor role (not a people manager role) with a heavy emphasis on financial reporting, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Reporting to the Manager, Business Operations, you will own the reporting function and drive business intelligence, supported by a Finance Officer who handles day-to-day transactional processing (AR/AP).

Note: Payroll processing and statutory reporting are fully externalised, leaving you free to focus on core accounting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, alongside high-level Board reports and dashboards.
• Analysis: Lead organization-wide budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial modeling, and deep-dive variance analysis.
• Advisory: Provide data-driven recommendations to managers and contribute financial insights to business cases.
• Governance: Coordinate with external partners (payroll/tax), manage grant-funded project acquittals, and lead external audit preparation.

Your Experience and Skills

• Qualifications: Degree in Accounting/Finance + CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience: Significant background in senior financial or management accounting with strong reporting, budgeting, and modeling skills.
• Systems: High proficiency in Xero and the Microsoft 365 suite (advanced Excel and SharePoint).
• Audit: Proven track record successfully leading external audit preparation and managing auditor relationships.
